Celia Conrad studied Law at King’s College, University of London. After qualifying as a solicitor she worked exclusively as a family law practitioner for several ‘magic circle’ firms in London until leaving full time private practice in 2001. She continued to work part-time in private practice while she researched and wrote the first edition of Fathers Matter which was published in October 2003. Since leaving private practice she has continued to research, write and work on Family Law matters. She is interested in all areas of Family law reform, but has a particular interest in the field of Child law.
She was on Radio 5 Live after the Spiderman on Tower Bridge incident. She was also quoted in the Daily Mail in a piece Femail ran on fathers. She appeared on BBC Breakfast TV after the Batman escapade at Buckingham Palace. She was asked on Radio 5 Live again after her appearance on the Geldof on Fathers programme on Channel 4. As a result of her written submissions to the House of Commons Constitutional Affairs Committee re new Inquiry Family Justice: the Family Courts in October 2004, she was asked to prepare supplemental submissions in December 2004 and then to give oral evidence to the Committee in January 2005.

She was also one of the consultees for The Centre for Social Justice’s report Every Family Matters: An in-depth review of Family Law in Britain which was published on 13 July 2009.
